PAINTINGS

I started painting many years ago. That could not be too long ago, as I have been around for 12 years only (currently being 2020). Still, I recall that it started when I was at my pre-primary level. I remember our teacher used to give us blank pages to draw something as we waited for our parents to pick us for home, during dispersal time. She did it to keep us busy and divert our attention from making a ruckus in the class. So, I started using those blank sheets to draw. I loved doing that. I drew whatever came to my mind. Animals (especially horses), birds and Disney characters. Surprisingly, kids around me liked what I was drawing. My parents simply loved it. So I continued to paint.

Nowadays, my favourite canvas to paint and draw are the walls of my room. If you happen to come to my room, you will see walls filled with paintings of characters from books, movies, myths and fantasy. My father calls it Pihoo’s version of the Sistine Chapel. If you do not know about the Sistine Chapel, then you must Google it fast. It is a huge chapel in the Vatican City. It has all its walls and ceilings painted by Michelangelo. I have a lot of fun getting to paint my room any which way it pleases me. It is great of my parents and grandparents to allow me to do this. I am sure not many elders would allow this. But mine do. And I am having a great time of it.

It is cool when my friends see my room and ask how my parents allow me to paint my walls. Those who are used to it try to look for new paintings. In this section, you will see some of the paintings I have done on the walls of my room. I hope you would enjoy looking at them. But that can never be as much as I enjoyed making them.
